Are you a young person up to something great in regional Australia? Look no further! The ABC’s Trailblazers program for 2025 is open for applications.

What’s Trailblazers all about?

The ABC is calling on individuals or groups of up three aged 18 to 28 who have started social, educational, environmental or economic development projects in their regional community. Whether they’re community leaders, social entrepreneurs, advocates, or event organisers, these Trailblazers share a commitment to empowering their regional communities.

Selected Trailblazers will receive an incredible package of support. From national recognition to valuable networks, entrepreneurial skills, leadership development, and confidence-building.

Growing stronger communities each year:

Up to 20 young leaders are selected each year, whose projects strengthen their communities. Whether you’re tackling environmental issues, championing education, or fostering economic growth, Trailblazers is your chance to shine.

Past Trailblazer projects have tackled diverse issues, such as strengthening Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander culture, promoting youth well-being, advancing sustainable farming, fostering inclusivity for individuals with disabilities, boosting employment opportunities, promoting financial literacy, ensuring quality educational access, and supporting entrepreneurs in remote areas.
